Have I been missing something or has there been few threads concerning the Endura 4 G-10 Foliage Green? I recall a few but after buying one I would think that this knife get more credit than it has. I thought it would be just a repackaged Endura with a FFG blade.

In some ways that’s what it is. However, I was quite surprised at the improvement these features give the already great Endura 4. The extra weight is unnoticeable. The G-10 is as high a quality as I have seen and the blade is outstanding!! I realize it’s being discontinued and had it not been for a decrease in price I would never have owned one.

I hope there are more similar runs in the works. This knife exudes quality.

I got one too, because they are under 80 dollars shipped now.
I believe they will be going up in price when they dry up. Probably should buy more, but I've got over a 1000 dollars worth of recently discontinued already!
The stuff by the base of the blade is oil. They are very impressive, I agree on that 100%.

Over a grand in discontinued Spydercos? That really is some dowry Ms. Jackson.

You do know that there will be a FFG Endura/Delica series coming early 2010, right? It will be with FRN handles and available in 5 different colors.

Yep, the G10 FFG Endura is my favorite Spyderco just for the reasons the OP stated, it is a high quality knife.

I like the stainless steel spacer as it really makes the knife look high quality. Also like the slightly added weight from the spacer and stainless liners but note I'm a guy that does not at all mind the weight of the Buck 110. Of course the G10 Endura is lighter than the 110.

I've had a Police model for about 8 years. The new Endura G10 fixed every complaint that I had about the Police (slick ss, weak point, a little large, no adjustments). I love my new Endura! I polished the clip to match those good looking liners and dressed it up a bit. My favorite folder by far.

I got one of the Endura FG G10s with a PE and rank it with my Military, very good quality

I use one as a utility folder when i do fire fighting (wildfire). It's a heavy duty folder, good design and tough enough for most chores. The price was reasonable as well.

I have one, and also the same version of the Delica. I've been carrying the Delica for the past couple of weeks since I bought it from a forumite. The Endura is just a smidge too big for my pocket when I'm driving. Can't argue with the quality, though. I bought a spare just as an investment.

I didn't know this. Looking forward to it. I like FRN. I was debating going ahead and getting the FFG G10 Endura, but if It's coming out w/ FRN I'll just wait. G10 is great, and on some knives it is a must have, but for the Endura FRN is fine.

I bought an FFG Endura 4 G10 a few weeks ago to use as a picnic knife for day hikes and car trips. as well as an introduction to Spyderco knives. So far, it seems to work very well for this purpose. Isn't as sharp as the Caly 3 that I bought at the same time for EDC, but it's a PRACTICAL knife, no tactical hype. Slices bagels, apples, and cheese, etc better than a smaller knife, less goosh to clean out of the pivot.

A 4" paring knife would work a bit better, but I would need have a sheath made. I carry the knife in a backpack or fanny pack for day hikes, and keep it in the glove box in the car, and toting a paring knife in this manner might create a legal liability, so the E4 seems like the best solution so far.

For me, the E4 is a bit bigger than I want for EDC, but it's slim enough to be serviceable replacement for the Caly 3, so there's never a need to tote more than one knife on a trip. If I might need to do food prep, I carry the Caly 3. If I know I am going to be doing food prep, I carry the Endura 4. Well done Spyderco.

I am very happy too with my E4FFG, however sometimes (particularly when not putting my thumb on the very back of the blade, where the improved-grip-section is) I feel some up-and-down blade play, which is not a big problem but definitely a nuisance

I looked at the G10 Endura4 at the local store. It's a solid knife with a smooth lock up that feels like a bank vault. It's a little heavy to me compared to the FRN models. The heavy handle is paired with the thin, flat ground blade which exaggerated both the weight and the thin blade for me. The E4 blade shape looks a little lifeless to me with the flat grind compared to the E3 saber grind, but that's cosmetic and a personal opinion. The G10 is nice, but I prefer the black look which covers up all the dirt and handling. The foliage green is just a little too bland a color for me. On the other hand, the E4G10 is a real nice package for a higher grade, lock back folder if you have hands a little too big for the Stretch. The foliage green can be replaced with custom handles and you can probably get a pointy tip added to spruce up the blade. Plus the banks aren't paying you any interest to hold your money for you.

im sad i sold mine, really great knife, i love the design and the feel of it.

I love the G-10 version. Since I've been carrying it everyday, I dont feel the need to buy another knife. Its a shame its going to be discontinued, I guess I'll keep mine for awhile.
