Endura 4 or Endura 4 FFG?

I like the aesthetics of the regular Endura 4 better, but I heard the FFG slices better.

Any more input on what one I should get?

The FFG has much better performance. I'd get the FFG model every time.

Of course, it is a matter of personal taste. My first Spyderco was an Endura SE that I EDC'd for a couple of years. It was promptly retired when I got an Endura 4 FFG. In my opinion, there is no comparision. the Full flat grind of the 4 was vastly superior. That being said, I found the Para Military 2 and it now occupies my primary carry position. The Endura 4 is my second. My original Endura SE has been semi retired and is relegated to my heavier tasks, dirty work.

FFG for sure. I have both and the FFG is the performance winner. With teeth I'd go hollow, just for toughness but don't expect the same cutting performance.

It really matters more on how you normally use your knives. If you typically use your knives for light duty work just cutting and slicing then the ffg blade's performance is outstanding! Way above the normal saber grinds. But if are the kind that uses your knife from everything from cutting and scraping to prying with the tip then you better stick with the saber grind. The ffg's tip and cutting edge is more fragile than the saber grinds.

This.

I would say that, personally, I rarely find myself wishing I had my sabre ground endura in my pocket and I often find myself performing tasks where the ffg excels (slicing). For me, ffg is better for most of what I do with a knife.

Ditto the above two.

Either will cut just fine. Don't sweat it. I've gone back and forth on the issue.

I got a gray FFG Endura about a year and a half ago... it hasn't been outside my pockets too much since then! I'd go with the FFG!

I love the weight of the FFG. I carry IWB mostly in the summer. FFG makes for a nice flat, light, good size folder.
