So I just got home from a camping trip and while I was away I managed to snap the tip off of my V-toku2 Endura. Not fun. While I was on the road back I thought about how cool it would be to sharpen the broken part down to a little Razel. Well I did it and I think it came out looking alright. I can see the use of this especially for a work knife. It's not perfect but I'm going to try it out

It broke in just the right spot to the now sharpened tip sits perfect in the handle. There is a TINY bit sticking up but that's not going to cause any harm

So what do you guys think? I know some of you are gonna look at me like I'm crazy for doing such a thing to a sprint run, but eh. It's a tool and I'm happy with it. It was free and I didn't have to send it off to get reprofiled

Always reduce the size of your file size on photos.
Please and thank you.
It just takes too long to load them. All I saw was the first inch at the top of one photo for ever. Some white stuff. I'll come back and look later.
Careful that the top edge corner of the blade doesn't protrude above the handle and get ya.

I had no idea the big photos were a problem, I'll make sure to keep that in mind. I've never had a problem with while using my phone. I'm not sure how it is on desktop though.

I've been testing this out and I'm surprised by how easy it is to use the tip as another edge. I'm going to test it out at work tomorrow to really see if it's for me

Some of us spend all our money on knives and haven't updated the desk top recently . . . or not so recently . . .
hahhahaha
Sorry to be a whiner.
Oh and thanks; loaded quick on my end now

Don't get me wrong; I razelized one of my knives but . . .

There is a TINY bit sticking up but that's not going to cause any harm
The reason I mention it is while carrying this knife, when it was brand new, the tip caught on my pocket handkerchief and opened the knife while it was in my pocket and I got stabbed when I reached into my pocket to put my handkerchief away (or get it out I forget which now). It was in a restaurant and bleeding rather profusely turned into an event for the people around me. At least they had a memorable evening. Small wound . . . drippy though.

Some of the problem is that the tip is almost flush with the handle rather than well down in the handle when the blade is folded.

It was my stupid fault for carrying it in my back pocket (the spine of the blade was not facing the corner of my pocket) I learned a lesson once the Blade Forums people here told me what's up.
You can just see the hole in the handkerchief at the tip of the knife. Interesting how it is dead center of the handkerchief. Do you suppose it is some kind of sign ?

Hey . . . a guy needs at least one razel work knife.
I call this photo Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
(no I didn't break it . . . I bought it specifically to do this to it. How sick is that ? ! A two handed chisel.)

You're lucky you don't have more invested in computers than you do knives.... to keep up with modern games and software you HAVE to upgrade your 3,000 dollar system almost every year. Not fun

But anyway I love how you did your mod man! That would be the only way I'd own a Cold Steel.

And I get what you're saying about the tip. The way the Endura handle is shaped it hides very well, as well as curves up. But I was thinking about putting a sharper angle on the spine at the tip just to make sure nothing is sticking up. I carried it around the house and it gave no problems, but I guess itll be better to be safe than have a hole in my hand

There's plenty of spine there. I'd grind that down to where you are at the tip, and you'll have a completely custom modified Endura! Plus, the tip would be below the handle.

Just curious, how did it break? I’m only asking since the tip is kinda thin and I’m am interested to see what thresholds this model has.
