Endura/Delica help

IMO,I would go with the FFG,I personely will only buy knives with FFG or atleast a thin grind,

the ffg could possibly chip in a defensive encounter. you should'nt worry about slight damage to your cutlery but that you prevent too much damage to your person. staying healthy is more important than knife damage.the ffg will slash more effiently.

I prefer the strength of the sabre grind in the Endura. If I want to carry a ffg knife I will carry my military.

I would get the FFG, I just got the Delica with G10 and a FFG and I love it. It slices amazing and has held up great to every other cutting chore I have put it up against. I have another Delica that is Saber ground and I like the FFG much much better.

There's really no reason to not get the FFG models. The tip of the FFG models can break just like the saber-ground models if you abuse them.

Well i've been EDCing my brown FFG Endura for the past few days. It's definitely a sharp mother. I don't know. The sabre ground Endura 4 seemed to have a little more heft, which 1. I like, and 2. Allowed the blade to be flicked open easier. Not that I do that all the time. I'm really not sure which I prefer to be honest. The FFG Endura just feels like a feather in my hand. Who knows, maybe I just prefer knives with a little more weight.

The other thing (and i'm sure this is just from my inexperience) is I'm scared this thin FFG is just going to break. I know thats unrealistic since I don't do heavy duty tasks with it. But damn...its so thin! lol.

aliasneo ditto to thin edge i cautioned members in another post about this being a slicer not a twist cutter.my tan endura came sharper than any knife ever except a wilson combat elite. that endura was like a straight razor & i knocked the edge down some because i could'nt shave hair w/o cutting myself.i'm curious if sal did this since so many guys get klien regrinds. i usually rebevel my knives immediately but not the endura. i understand spyderco is bringing out the zdp endura in ffg.

For light, everyday cut tasks, go with FFG for sure. IF you wanted a real hard workhorse, sabre grind.
