Endura Discountinued?

I read somewhere that a certain model of the endura will be discountinued. Can someone be more specific as to which model. Thanks
 
yup the G10 endura has been disco'd they are making the endura 4 with a FFG now.
 
A few color/blade combos got axed for 2010, but the Endura is alive and well (And will probably never be discontinued entirely, considering it's one of the flagship models.)

Spyderco's criterion for keeping/dropping models is sales. If the G-10 Endura got dropped (which it did) it was because there were not enough people in the world who share your view and were willing to pony up for one. The fact that several dealers have had them on sale at closeout prices for several months, and still have stock on hand, might be take by some as proof that decision was a wise one.

The full and partial serrated ZDP's have been discontinued. The Foliage Green serrated has also been discontinued. It never came in PE, so PS only now.

The "funky" Spyderco designs have always appealed to me but the Waved Spydies are UGLY!! imo.
 
A second question to this. Does this mean all Enduras will have the full height grind blade or will saber grind be out there also?

The FFG will be a production model. As said by Sal at SS 2010, 1200 of each color will be released and they will see the response and act from there

You may not realize it, but you just invented a new word. "Discountinued", meaning that an item is going to be discontinued, and is currently discounted in order to sell off remaining inventory.

This perfectly describes the current situation for the G10 Endura 4, which is being sold for (about) $70-80 on many websites. Get them while they last, they're being discountinued!

Doing what?

Discontinuing versions which sell poorly - Yes
Discontinuing the G-10 version - No
Introducing FRN versions in new colors with FFG blades - Yes
Planning to keep said new versions in the line up if they sell well/quickly - Yes

HAHA!! You crack me up. I can usually spell but with this head cold I have this one got away from me. Thanks for your keen eye.
 
The only ones I've been able to find at the discounted price are the waved versions. Shame, that - I'm not a big fan of waved blades.
 
Turners Outdoorsman had the green G-10 endura on special - not sure if they have any more or if the sale is still on.
