I just became the high bidder on a hawkbill that seems to have endura stamped in the handle. This reminds me of my first merlin. It was the merlin/harpy blade inside a delica 3 handle way back when they were shifting from the old handles with molded clips.

Yep. On the first run of SpyderHawks, they didn't change the handle insert (or maybe they just had a bunch of FRN handles left over), so they all said "ENDURA". Then they had a batch where the medallion said SpyderHawk, but it was upside down. I have one of each, but I still don't have a right-side-up SpyderHawk other than the Salts.

The 'Lil Matriarch was the same way for a while. Delica 4 body with a different blade.

There were actually quite a few of the VG-10 ENDURAHAWK/mistake models>> I had at least 3 to 4 of them over the years and currently own one now. I do hope someday that the SPYDERHAWK will return to the main line up>> it's really gaining approval in the gardening and landscaping sectors and I do believe that the demand will continue to grow.

I believe all of Spyderco's Hawkbills would do well if they were marketed in areas where they are popular such as the fishing/marine sector along with the gardening/landscaping sector.
