Endura or Police?

Thinking about adding a fully serrated blade to the mix, and the two largest ones I can think of are the Endura and the Police. I'd like a Military but the site I'm going to buy from doesn't carry a fully serrated version. So between the Endura and Police (not based on price alone) which one would be the better choice?

i would go with endura. i just like the blade shape a bit better. also, depending on the model you want, you may not be able to take your police apart.

Per the standard response around these parts, "What are you going to use the blade for?" I'm not trying to be a smart a$$...but it does help.

I have an Endura, my friend has a Police. Endura is light, less expensive and should provide plenty of length at 3.75" for any EDC task. The police (G10) has about 1/2" extra length but is a bit heavier. If you want light weight, practical EDC, go Endura. If you want a more beefy feel and blade with a little extra length, go Police.

Bang for your buck for "unspecified use"...I'd pick the Endura. If Endura, you can even get it in ZDP189!

yes but you can't get serrated in zdp unless you send it back to spyderco and pay for it. still, i would go with endura. for all the reasons gunsnknives stated

I was wanting the SS version of the Police, mainly because it looks awesome (training day haha). I'll have look more into the G10 model as well.

training day is the ONLY reason why i would want that knife. i cannot get over the weight.

I will most likely not be EDCing this blade, and if I do it will be in a secondary role behind my PM2.

I've handled the SS versions...they are very slick and it is difficult to flip one open without dropping the knife. Maybe my dexterity sucks...but that is the only Spyderco I have that issue with.

Yes for Serrated, ZDP is not available...too bad.

The police exceeds the 4" legal limit of many states and cities...and the cops know it. Since it is called "police" it could be considered a weapon in many juristictions w/o a length limit. The Edura is a 1/4 inch under the limit without a name that brings to mind a weapon. I always thought the Police was named the Police because if you have one, it is designed to be an easy arrest for the Police :)

I find the Endura to be much more ergonomic and user friendly than the Police. And it costs about $60 less. The Police is a fine knife, but that long blade, coupled with the Spydie hole which is close to the pivot, makes it a little less easy to deploy.

I ordered an Endura 4 Spydie-edge today. Should be here tomorrow. I hope I like it more than the Delica I had.
