Well after our last night "in", group 3 (thats the group I'm asigned to on the fire dept) hits the water.Yesterday that meant 6 boats 3 jet skis and 20-25 guys. Skiing.tubing, wakeboards etc.Cigars ,beers and sun!
Well one guy runs his ski over a floating towline and it wraps around the skis shaft. I mean the whole lenght and about 3 thickness. stops the ski cold.
Who's got a knife goes the call? A few jokes to the PR bothers on the job but no knife. Except my Endura. we roll it over and I see the shaft is set inside the boat and protected by a grate which really limits my access to the rope,in fact i could only reach it with the first inch and a half of the blade.
It took a few minutes but thanks to it being sharp (as you could not get any leverage) all the rope got cut away and the ski skied again!
By the time the day was over only one guy went to the hospital and the Sheriffs boat only stopped us once so all in all a good day!
