Endura size folder

I was thinking of getting the Endura 4 ffg in gray and before I pull the trigger, I want your opinion on what other options Spyderco offers. I will be mainly using this knife for EDC. Thanks

The endura ffg is an awesome knife. I carry one quite a bit, I also have a para 2. The para2 is more comfy, and I think the lock is better and the overall knife is tougher. I think you will find a lot of love round here for the para2. Both are great knives and you can't really go wrong. The manix is another great knife, but a bit smaller but much tougher. Another solid option is the Gayle Bradley. That being said, the endura is the most economical of those.

My personal EDC is the Stretch. It is hands down the best EDC I have found recently...the only thing missing (for me) is a flipper.
I also use a Delica once in a while and I really like how small and light weight it is...more of an EDC than the Endura in my mind.

I should have mentioned that I have a paramilitary 2, a sage 1 and 2, and a delica 4. I was waiting for the military 2 to come out but that's going to take a while. Is the manix 2 a viable option?

If you're looking for an Endura sized folder, I can think of no better option than an Endura 4. A Delica 4 would probably even better for a lightweight EDC.

I had and endura and a delica, sold the endura, kept the delica, got a Gayle Bradley and have a Para 2 on order. For me the endura just did not seem right. Not sure why. I think I just like a little more weight in this blade length. I love the delica and have just ordered a dragon fly ZDP. And I love my UKPK. So its not that I dont like lightweights. Just not an endura man I guess.

You can not go wrong with the Endura. I've heard rumors that the Stretch is even better! But is it worth the 20 extra dollars? Not to me.

I bought an Endura 4 for EDC about two weeks ago. I have seriously fallen in love with it. VG10, light weight, nice blade length, feels smaller in the pocket than it really is, ....has not left my pocket since I got it!!!

Another Endura-sized option is the Chokwe if you like frame locks, and it flips open very smoothly.

The endura is on of my favorite spydercos. If you have the extra cash I would suggest getting the ZDP-189 version, the thing cuts like a laser.

The FFG Endura's an excellent folder. Others that I'd consider are the Paramilitary 2, Chokwe, or if you want something that'll hold its edge a little better, a Stretch 2 ZDP.

The Pacific Salt is extremely similar in size and feel and price. Actually, it's closer to the Endura 3 than the Endura 4. It comes with H1 (rust proof) steel, which trades some edge retention (in plain edge) for rust resilience. If you want a serrated knife, the Pacific Salt is a particularly excellent choice.

If you're looking for a really BIG folder that's lightweight, the Endura's a good choice. The Manix 2, however, if what finally replaced my well-loved Native 2 FRN, and the Translucent Manix 2 replaced the standard Manix 2.
