new endura in tan handles & the zdp stretch just arrived. looks like the flat grind endura is 10 to15 thousanths thinner than the standard endura. i really like these new colored enduras but they are slicers not not made for twist cuts. of course the stretch is more good looking but it cost nearly 3 times the endura.value wise this new run of enduras are hard to beat. now guys the bevels on the endura are fairly acute so think twice before you let a friend borrow your knife.the vg10 out of the box was sharper than the zdp189.the next few days i'll polish out with diamond paste & see how they hold up.my guess is the stretch may go 15% longer in edge durability.

Cool thanks for the observations I've been thinking about picking up on of the zdp stretches for a long time. Which one did you get? The FRN or carbon fiber?

the stretch is carbon fiber, i'll list a few specs of the 2 models
endura:
length 5 in.
blade 3.75
weight 3&1/16 oz.
stretch
length 4.5in.
blade3.5
weight 3.75 oz.
for you engineers these specs are only close not exact.
of course the stretch is top of line in appearance like the bradley. the endura is more utilitarian but certainly no slouch in performance.as sal planned the stretch is better suited to the urban guy, not giving up any in performance but also unobtrusive in presence.the endura is a very affordable workhorse.
