What things would you do with an FRN Endura that you would not do with a G10 Endura? The former is flat saber ground while the latter is full flat ground, FYI.

I gave my Basic Endura Away because that blade shape just got on my nerves, I just prefer full Flat Grinds Period, cuts better, slices better, carves better, yes I know it is not as strong as the flat saber grind but I don't want strength to use it as a pry bar, I want cutting ability, these are just my thoughts and to each his own, I guess the best thing to do is compare them side by side like I did.

There's nothing that I would do with one that I wouldn't do with the other. I think the differences will only become noticable under more extreme (abusive) circumstances aside from slicing.

I agree with Kaizen on this one, there is nothing the flat saber grind can do that a full flat grind cannot also do until you get into an abusive or "oh shit" situation. that being said, if you plan to pry things, dig/drill/stab with the tip, or any other abusive activities then the flat saber grind will hold up better, particularly at the tip. I tend to be very hard on knife tips and as such I found the Endura 4 to be a great EDC for me, but only after thinning out the edge, which came quite obtuse from the factory (although it was still shaving sharp). If you want a knife to cut things and cut them very well, then the flat ground G10 endura is a much better knife. On the other hand if you want a good EDC that can take a ton of abuse on a daily basis, then the Endura 4 is right up your alley. I've used mine to break glass, cut open cans, drill holes in wood, cut through 0 AWG battery cable, and do moderate prying. In general all things I would never do with any of my other folders, which is exactly why I got the Endura 4 in the first place. I see it as a great affordable hard use EDC workhorse and if I ever do manage to break it (not likely) then I'll just pick up another one.

I have 5 FRN Endura4s, 3 with VG-10, 2 with ZDP-189 which all have been full flat ground by Tom Krein, I carry 1 VG-10 daily, excellent slicer, well done by Tom. Gary
