Hey guys im new here this my first thread post. I'm trying to decide which of the two spydies Im gonna get. appreciate any input. thanks.

I'd try and find the G10 Endura for around $70 before they're all gone. Plenty of Military's out there and lots more specials to come. No hurry on them.

Most will probably say the Military if it's in your budget. That's my reply too. There is a difference in how each carry regardless if both are larger knives. The Endura will probably take up less real estate in your pocket and the Endura/Delica models are probably a major revenue staple for Spyderco but as much as I respect the Endura, it's just not in the same class as the venerable Military. Again though, these two knives are not really competing anyway and each has a pro and a con. So look at it this way, consider your handle and blade geometry (and overall real estate), your budget, the steel, the handle material options, color options (the new FFG Enduras in colors are super nice), carry configurability of the clip, actual use of the knife and any other element and run with it.

All things aside though, the Military is quite a step up from the Endura, IMHO anyway.

G-10 Endura for sure. They're going at an insanely good price so get one while you still can.

I have a G10 Endura 4 and a Military. Spyderco doesn't publish the handle thickness of their knives, but the E4 is thinner (0.418") than the Military (0.455'), making it easier for me to carry. Despite being a bit smaller in every dimension, the G10 E4 is about 0.2 Oz heavier.

The blade steel and locking mechanism are different, but both knives work fine IMO. The quality is a wash IMO. The Military is limited to tip down carry, which works fine for me. For me, the decision would comes down to size/weight vs blade length preference. However, the E4 is less expensive now, and it has been discontinued, so now is the time to grab one if you want one.

if I get an endura I don't want the FRN one. but i'd still want a millie after. thanks for all your inputs but this doesn't ever end does it? :)

I've seen the G10 Endura going for $70 at knifecenter, I'd try to grab one before they are gone. I would get one but I have no money for it, unless I eat ramen for the next month.

If you're choosing between the regular FRN Endura and the Military, I'd go with the Military. I find the handle more comfortable, and I prefer the full flat grind to the Endura's sabre grind.

Don't get me wrong, the Endura is a great knife at its price point, but the Military works better for me.

Have you looked at the Stretch? I love the blade shape and handle (the blade is flat ground), I like the basic VG-10/FRN Stretch version more than the Endura.

it's done a G10 millie. unfortunately they only had the all black in stock. i woulda wanted the one with SS blade and clip. waiting on it to get here.

"They are gone." :o

They are back. I was watching it for a while but was too lazy to order. Missed out when KC added it to their weekly email of special deals a couple of weeks ago. I finally gave up on the Endura G10 and placed an order Tuesday for some other stuff. Noticed yesterday they were back in stock (at a slightly higher price) and nabbed one on my second order. I hate paying for shipping from the same place just days apart...

Don't know if I should be happy about getting at a great price or unhappy about missing it at last week's insanely low price.

I also wonder if they had such a good response on their email a couple of weeks ago, pulled it from their site for a week and then put it back at the higher price. In any case still a great deal.

Long email. Upshot is check again!

Yeah, I noticed they came back. It's $5 more, I believe. Grab them while they're hot!

i have carried the millie off & on since it hit the market---ats34, g2, 440cv & whatever. i believe i've had most of the models in all black, all s.s. & one in my hand that's serial numbered , has g2 blade & alum. or titan. handles. i.m.h.o. the endura is a better edc.if i feel i need more than the endura i'll go with my 5 in. blade cuda maxx.

Actually $8 more than where they were a couple of weeks ago (the price in the email I received was $66.95)...

They must have changed prices more than once because I remember the $69.95 price as well).

The g-10 endura at knifecenter is only in foliage green. Any in black?

I think green doesnt look that good imo
