2 weeks or so ago several guys that bought an Endura ZDP FFG

said that the edge on their knives had an obtuse edge. Has anyone that's

bought this knife in the last 10 days or so still getting the Endura zdp

ffg with an obtuse edge.

I dont know how to reprofile and I dont want to have to send a brand new

knife back to Spyderco to get a ffg edge.

Edit: Spyderco makes the Endura with ZDP 189 with a ffg blade. A few members said that they got this knife with an obtuse angle on the edge.

Do you mean a saber grind, or a thick edge grind? I don't think Spyderco will replace a saber ground Endura with a FFG one in either case.

If you mean a thick edge grind and worried about not knowing how to reprofile, learn.

You could always ask the dealers to pick a FFG one out for you. Most should do that.

Re-profiling isn't hard if you have a set of diamond stones. You would have a very hard time doing that with a Sharpmaker.

Can you be a little more clear about what you're asking?

obtuse like greater than a 90 degree inclusive edge? that would be something, and definitely worth warranty work, otherwise if its just a bit thick, grab some diamond stones and make it more to your liking. ZDP really isn't that hard to sharpen if you get 20 dollars with of diamond sharpeners.
