326FA0EB-013B-4864-BD33-76663F768641.jpeg Just got the Endura and like my Delica I would like to get micarta scales for it. I asked Boomer52 but he is not making micarta scales. Any recommendations?

I've loved the ZDP-189 Spyders I've gotten over the years but I just never pulled the trigger on the ZDP version of the Endura. I believe it was the ZDP version of the Endura model that they tried to do in Spyderedge but unfortunately discovered that ZDP-189 was not a good blade steel for serrated edges. So Spyderco ceased the production of Spyderedged units in ZDP-189 quite some time back. It's funny how some of these SuperSteels don't make idea blade steel for serrated edges>> but then Steels like ZDP-189, S90V and others in that hardness range do make superb plain edged units.

+1 for Cuscadi with the disclaimer that if you have a strong preference for textured micarta that feels cloth-like, you might want to check and make sure that's what Cuscadi has. I have denim micarta scales for a Spyderco Dice from them and it's not at all textured. It feels like smooth plastic. I don't mind since the quality is great, it's the look I wanted, and the knife is grippy enough without extra scale texture, but it's something to keep in mind.

The photo doesn't really show the lack of texture, but the Dice at the bottom is the knife and scale in question.
