Been EDC'ing my Endura for quite awhile. Tried many knives over the years...ZT, Kershaw, CS, BM...etc. But I always grab my Endura Wave.

Is there a better EDC blade?....cough Spyderco....cough.

BTW.....I do like my Military.....

If you really like your Military, you should try the Para 2 if you haven't already. Also, the Sage series is one of the best EDC knives on the market IMHO.

The ticket is a ZDP-189 Endura with a G-10 handle. You have to buy two knives and switch the parts, but the result is phenominal.

Discovered the Endura 4 about 6 months ago, and many a good pocket knife has not seen the light of day since. Mine's a plain edge, FRN, VG 10 model, and I love it.

The FFG Endura is interesting (in VG 10, love the stuff) so I may give that a go . Maybe a gray one........

On the subject of G-10 Enduras, there's one up for sale in the exchange forums...cough cough...

Nah, the Native series are the best EDC's out there! ;) Sal, how about a Native with a 3.5" blade?

My ZDP189 Endura, Military and Manix II are pretty good for carry also.

If there is a better EDC blade then the Endura 4 Waved, I certainly have not found it.

There are a lot of blades that I own that I actually like better then my Endura. I own a wide variety blades from expensive ($300 range for me) to not so expensive and in all different flavors.

However as far as EDC is concerned I have found nothing in my travels to beat or replace my Waved Endura 4. (The Waved feature is what really sets it off for me. Now if spyderco made some more Waved models, then there might be some other serious contenders)

Nothing comes close. The combination of weight, form factor, large blade, comfort, grip, value and speed make for one great knife.

It is always with me. period.

I agree 100%. I think my other Spyderco knives are great, but it is the ZDP-189 Endura that I end up using.

Had Enduras since 94...best damn edc on the planet (best knife overall Military), the new zdp 189 ffg is a killer.
My $0,02

I've owned an Endura 4 in ZDP for about 4 years. Never really carried it, then lost it for a year and a half. Recently found it, sent it to Spyderco for sharpening. Just got it back two days ago and it hasn't left my back pocket since. I was pretty disappointed with the dullness of the blade when I got it from the factory, and I had never experienced that from Spyderco before. That pretty much put me off the knife so I didn't have much love for it (I didn't know how to sharpen knives at the time). Now that it is wicked sharp and the problem has been rectified I can't seem to put it down.

I pretty much think this will always have a home in my back pocket now.
