Enduras...addictive?

I got another Endura last week, so at this point I don't know how many Enduras I have...the Endura (and Delica) seem to be knives that can and will eventually be bought in multiples. When the new flat grind came out some time ago on the Enduras/Delicas, I was at first skeptical that they'd be as sharp and cut as well as the older hollow grind, thinking it would create a thicker cutting edge. However, I've realized this grind does indeed make for better cutting, and of course, the VG-10 steel is one of my favorites.

I chose the 50/50 edge Endura this time, and for me it seems the ideal all-around model for regular cutting...I got this Endura as a high-quality EDC beater knife. In fact, I carry other knives too, but also carry the Endura in a coat pocket and use it quite a bit.

Those are the pros. The one con I have discovered about the VG-10 models is, it seems that in general the fitting together is done less cleanly than previous versions. I tend to check several of the same knife before purchase, and often see open space on each side of the backspring
at the back of knife. I usually don't mind it as long as, when I press the handles together, they don't "give"...meaning so long as it's tightly fitted regardless. I suppose it's more of a nit-picky aesthetic thing, but I have wondered why it's more prevalent in the VG-10 models.

Anyhow, just wanted to comment on what I feel is the best Zytel-handled lockback using knife out there. ;)

*sighing dreamily*.... the Endura is perhaps one of the best all-around production folders out there, regardless of price. no wonder the thing's been around so long! i love my stainless version, and i can't wait for the waved one!!!

I agree entirely. I have a draw full of knives but the Endura is the one which goes with me when I need a using knife.

I've lost count too. One of the best. My friend is "eyeing" mine as he's a deer hunter and feels that it will make the perfect hunting knife.
