Hey, my first post here, but I have been wanting the ENER-G for a while but have been put off by the grey g-10 scales, I found a post a while back talking about switching over to the black g-10 scales. Unfortunately the current black g-10 scales also come with a black blade which in my case isn't so sheeple friendly. Is there any news on a black g-10 with regular blade?

Thanks for everybody's help! :)

ps. on a sidenote, is the ENER-G flipper comparative to the OD-1 flipper? or is it completely revolutionary?

Hey there, tonksmata,

Welcome to the Kershaw sub-forum, glad you finally decided to make your first post with us;)

As far as the ENER-G II goes, Thomas has stated that when the current stock of the grey g-10 handles with the trac-tec inserts is exhausted, Kershaw will switch over to the textured black g-10 handles for the non coated ENER-G II's as well. How long that might be is anyone's guess, but don't lose hope. Just keep your eyes open.

You could also try and pick up a used grey one for cheaper than a new one, and get an all black one and do a blade swap. There was some crazy clown around here that did it a while back and it looked REALLY nice:thumbup: I'll edit this post with a link in a few minutes.
