Ener-g II revisited.

I first bought the ener-g II because I liked the pseunetic opening mechanism, and I'm just a Kershaw fan anyway. However, the knife never really got any pocket time. Not that I didn't like the knife. I do, it is a good size, good ergos and the pseunetic opening works great. What I don't like are the trac-tec insets on the g-10 scales. So, the other day I was browsing Kershawguy's web site and noticed the version in all black(1745BLK) with g-10 scales without the trac-tec inserts. I ordered a blem and it arrived in the mail today. Now I love this knife. Funny what a big difference a small change can make. As far as it being a blem? I can live with one small scratch on the blade coating. Keep up the good work Kershaw. Thanks for the good deal Kershawguy.

Good to know. I have the first gen Energy and I too dislike the rubbery crap on the handle. I think the G10 version is pricey but I'll keep a loookout.

I've had both, liked both, just like the all G-10 version better. I sent mine off the STR for a deep-carry-tip-up clip to perfect the knife.

I have the smaller 1740BLK and love it as well. It's an excellent EDC for me. I was very impressed by the build quality of this one, it was my first Kershaw, and it definitely made a good impression.

Yeah I'm really pleased. I'm so glad they did it in g-10 with out the trek-tac. I'm sure there are people who like it. Just isn't for me.

One of my all time favorite kershaws!! Great ergos, great slicing blade, great flipper mech., and I love that all G-10 version.
