This is directed towards Thomas or anyone else in the know...I have read articles speaking of the knife being held in the closed position by a Nitinol wire, but on my Ener-G 2, I notice a detent like on any other liner lock. Is this simply a matter of the wire mechanism being scrapped, or am I missing something? I haven't taken the knife apart yet.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott, the Nitinol wire was not used on the ENER-G's. We had difficulty dialing the piece in using the wire, so a detent was used in its place.

Hope that helps.
