ENER-G2 vs Zancudo

I see a resemblance but not much. (Had to look the ener-g2 up, I own a Zancudo). Also one's a liner lock ones a frame lock. If you don't want to do it the normal way and get both to try then sell/give one away and you don't mind the liner lock I'd say get the kershaw- better steel(nothing wrong with AUS-8, but 14c28n>AUS-8), made in USA and much better after-the-sale service. (I havent needed to send my Zancudo in for anything but I'm pretty sure KAI CS>BRK CS).

Thanks Killer,
I picked up a RAT2 days before I saw the Zancudo. But, yes I would prefer KAI any day. Which is why I now have a ZT0566.
I also own Kershaw's Scamp, Crown (8Cr13MoV), Leek and field knife (14C28n). All of which have been excellent.

I will probably try the ENER-G2 if I can find one to buy online. If not, the Zancudo it is.

I seem to remember there was some controversy as to weather or not the handle material was really g10 or not on the Zancudo. I have to say though that I have been looking at the Zancudo and now that I have seen the Kershaw I think it looks much better(especially the country of origin)

I do not know what the shipping rates to UAE might be-- probably high, I expect-- but A.G.Russell has the Ener-G II in stock and ships internationally.

I'd take the Kershaw any day of the week. If I wanted a knife in Aus8 I would pick up a Utilitac II, or a Rat I/II

The handles on both knives have a bit of a swell as you approach the end opposite the pivot, but that's about it for similarities (at least to me). They are very distinctly different knives. If you can get ahold of a Ener-G, it is a pretty interesting knife. The flipper mechanism is free-floating and launches the blade open without any special flipper technique (eg. having to pre-load some force, or pressing the flipper in at different angles). It's not unlike the OD-1 and OD-2 (also designed by Lee Williams). When open, the flipper conceals itself in the handle.

Here's my Ener-G and Zancudo side-by-side:

This helps a lot, Flarp. And yes I like the Kershaw so much better after seeing them together
Thanks

Yalius,
Shipping to the UAE ranges between $30 to $50. So I usually try to put together a decent order list before I push the big red button.
