There are a lot of topics covering NYC Knife Law Enforcement as a whole, but none of them seem to address the issue of enforcement in each borough. I'm curious to know if enforcement varies in each borough (i.e. Little Neck, Queens vs. Midtown, Manhattan). Thanks for your responses.

NYC includes Quuens, Staten Island, Brooklyn and the Bronx. The law is the same in those places. It can be enforced just as strictly in all of them. Manhattan has the strictist day in and day out enforcement, BUT don't think you won't be arrested in the other four. As stated numerous time here, ANY WEAPONS arrest is considered a "good" arrest and a directive is given to make them whenever there is a spike in robberies in any area as weapon arrest is considered a good response to a spike in the robbery number. The end of the month need to make my number of arrest also plays into it. Nassau and Suffork are not as bad, and you can carry exposed there with no written blade limit.

While I don't have exact numbers handy, I have done a bit of research on appellate cpw gravity knife cases. A plurality of them were out of Manhattan (New York County). There was also quite a few cases from Kings County (Brooklyn) and Queens.

mp510, I would love to hear how those cases played out. I presently have about 50 off duty officers working in the malls I run, and I have heard several Judges have kicked out some gravity knife cases while other have held them as valid. My friend's wife run the law library at a major NYC law firm and she has run the gravity knife/ switchblade cases a few times but has only came up with the butterfly knife not a gravity knife response.

I intend on putting together another one of my case threads in the near future;)
