I know it's legal to own bali's in the UK, but what I want to know is if the Benchmade madel 40T would be legal to carry as technically it's not a knife. I want one for taking to friends etc when im bored.

It might be legal, but I'm sure another concerned subject might object to you having a 'fake illegal combat knife to mug old ladies with' or some other such stupidity.
