Thanks Phil, I guess I should have known to check A.G.'s site. That S&M is pretty sweet. Stag would be a second choice. Two other things I forgot to mention...I would prefer a single blade and stainless steel.

A couple of weeks ago I bought an English jack from Rodgers, Sheffield, stainless steel, two bladed with lambsfoot main and secondary pen, it´s also made with main clip and single bladed, it´s 3 1/2 inches closed with nice wood handles, I paid about $60 U.S., but this is Mexico and prices tend to be double of what you find in the U.S.

The fit and finish were quite good, mirror polished blades with no play, the main blade walks and talks just fine, the pen feels a bit rough on the walk but should smooth out with time, the pen´s tip was practicaly aligned with the top of the liners when closed, so I filed the kick just a bit.

The edge on both blades had a bit of a burr and was made at a very high angle, probably over 25 degrees per side. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to reprofile them to double bevels of 15/20 degrees, now they can cut a hanging hair.

Overall a nice looking English jack and will be a good worker.
