Hey guys, here's a special version of my Coin Claw, decorated by my friend Tom Sterling, an amazing engraver and knifemaker. The yellow inlay areas are 24 carat gold, while the pink areas are copper. The blade is made from Mike Norris stainless damascus, backspacer is Timascus, the rest of the handle components are Titanium except for the hardware which is stainless steel. The Coin Claw is 1 5/8” closed diameter, 2 5/8” open with a 1” blade. Check out Tom's blog where he documents his engraving process: http://sterlingsculptures.com/wp/?p=3356

I agree. The rusty metal background and low-key exposure gives the photos a very moody feel.

Excellent work on the knife, the engraving, and the photos!

I love the detail and uniqueness of this. I agree with Rumline, those are great photos as well.

Very Cool! Serge, I love your work and that engraving is wild!

Tom Sterling's page explaining how he did the engraving was very interesting too.
