Amherst Cutlery-Pappy's Best.

This knife just sold. We are shipping it out in the morning.
I wanted to show it off and ask your opinions on the engraving.
Tim Halloran did the work. It's clean and very detailed.

Your thoughts???

This is a great EDC. No fishhooks sticking out so when you reach into your pocket, no scratches

The engraving is outstanding and is the work of an up-and-coming engraver, Tim Halloran

The mammoth ivory has been stabilized with cyanoacrylate to maintain the character lines and colors. Outstanding blue, and blue/greens.

I'm really happy with the overall look and feel of this piece. I'm always nervous when engraving is to be done. Tim Halloran did an awesome job. Very clean, traditional, and detailed. He did sign his work.

Thank you for taking a look. Your comments are always welcome, as you know.

Keep Care,

Pappy

Good work, it all looks great. Don't really care for the notch at the ricasso but otherwise it all flows for me.

Nice. A classic design well executed!

All the best,

I'd say whomever bought it should be VERY happy with it. The mammoth has some exceptional color and the engraving enhances it well.

I will be happy to provide a brief summary of "my thoughts".

I want one.

(I know that shouting is discouraged in this subforum--please give me a pass on this one.)

Hello Ed,

Well, thank you David. That's one of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me.

I haven't forgotten about the phone call...still jetlagged....

I think that it is just the right amount of engraving. It still allows the scales to stand out, and adds a nice extra bit of refinement to the overall package.

I also like how the black in the engraving sets off the blue in the mammoth.

Beautiful work.
