Over 5 years ago I was asked to make a knife by Rick Sherwood, which was to be engraved. I was in graduate school at the time and it took me a while to get it finished, and then there was additional time for the engraver, Doug Arnew, to turn it around. I finally shipped it in July of 2011, but it never arrived. It's the only knife I've ever lost in shipment.

Rick understood, and was willing to wait for a replacement. Fast forward 4 years, and after finishing a graduate degree, getting my CPA certification, 3 moves, a year-long international assignment, and a lot of honey-dos, here is the finished result.

OAL is 8 inches on the nose, blade is mirror polished 440C, and handles are desert ironwood. Lined sheath by me. Engraving is again by Doug Arnew, as close to the original as he could get. It shipped out yesterday (FedEx insured!). I hope it was worth the wait.

Good looking knife, Travis. Sheath is great as well. Nice touch using scroll style carving on the sheath to match the engraving.

Great looking knife. Very tasteful engraving and like Jason said, the tooling on the sheath is a nice touch.

that, Travis, is a very fine accounting of a hunter well engraved. I'm sure you and the collector are very proud of your skills.
