Say Bill, perhaps when my HanuMan and sirupati come in, the guys would like a pic.It is a distinctive pattern. No fair copying.
I hope that they have long companions. For one thing, the short ones fall out and,you may want to use one.

Ghost if we can ever get them here I will post a pix. We certainly have had our share of delays with these last two orders of yours and for that I apologize.

I only have two speeds. If you don`t like this on;you`ll darn sure not to like the other.

Hmmmm, If Himalayan Imports are slow and do poor work then I think I have truly found the best place to buy Kuhkuris.

From what I have seen by the posts,
some of you know what "Indin Time" is. I ordered a silver ring about six months ago and furnished the "Fire Agate" for it. It was supposed to be ready four months ago. I "know" I will get it when I am supposed to and it will be beyond my expectations because of who is making it.

This silversmith is one of the best around here and a Honorary Chief of the Creek Nation in OK and is also a "two speed" person. He also takes some artistic license with a design too.
Sounds like some other people I have heard about that are craftsmen in Nepal.
Written by another "two speed" person.

We are slow. Shop 2 is working six kamis six days per week and they are producing 25 khukuris per month. And after the two tangs failures we have just experienced I'm beginning to think that we do poor work, too.
I hope I do not have to journey to Nepal to get things under control. It is too far and I am too old.

Uncle Bill I think things will settle down once things kinda get straightened out. The way I understand it the main person has had to do some traveling and hasn't been around to watch and direct.

Regretfully I have always found that when trying to bring another shop or department on line that there is invariably a few problems.

Two tang failures out of all the Kuhkuris that have been used and abused isn't that many and although the goal may be 100 % perfection that will probably never happen, even though you are as close to that percentage now than most people
ever hope to be.

Himalayan Imports and You are among the most honorable suppliers of fine tools and weaponry in the business.
Things will work out soon and I for one will stick by you and H.I. as I know everyone here will.
The fact that these failures bother you and make you wonder about the workmanship are another credit to you and your products!

Well said, Yvsa! I also think that the way Bill has been so forthright about a statistically insignificant number of failures speaks volumes about the integrity of the man. I have always had complete confidence in Bill and his products; my confidence has been re-affirmed by the manner in which he has discussed these concerns. Excellent, honorable behavior and all too rare in this day and age…

Many thanks for the kind words.

Years ago I was asked to "doctor" an engineering report so that the company I was working for would stand a better chance at getting a fat research contract. I refused and this ended up costing me my career.

When I was leaving the company, last day, a fellow engineer came up to me and said, "I don't know where you find the courage to give up your career and leave."

I replied, "And I don't know where you find the courage to maintain your career and stay."

It is all perspective as I and others have a way of saying on this forum.
