Engraving a Buck Mayo TNT

Hi guys, a knife newbie here. I want to engrave the blade of a Buck TNT, maybe take it to a shop or something. Someone told me because of the blade steel of the knife, there may be complications. Is this true?

The blade can probably be laser engraved (or etched) but I would imagine the S30V is too hard for traditional engraving. Try doing a google search for laser engraving and check out the different styles.
