Engraving Cost

I have a new knife on the way and was thinking about having some engraving work done on the bolsters. I have no idea what the prices run for that kind of work. The bolsters are stainless steel and probably about one square inch in size. I was not thinking about colored work, just a basic scroll type pattern of some kind but full coverage of the bolsters. Just looking for a ballpark figure so I will know if it is something possible for me to handle. Can you guys help me with a rough guess?

It all depends on the engraver. I asked Julie Warenski what it would cost to engrave the guard and pins on a hunter I wanted, and she quoted me between $900 and $1200 and a year delivery time!

Also, keep in mind many engravers don't do 303 Stainless. Julie won't.
