I think I'm gonna get my dad a Buck 110 for Christmas...since it is my last official Christmas at home (leaving for Basic 1 week later), I would like to have it engraved...I've never done this before and really have no clue as to what would not look corny and what to put on it...

With the knife 'standing' vertically, I was thinking of putting his initials horizontally across the top bolster (the one by the blade), and then something on the bottom bolster, like this:
Merry
Christmas
12/15/02
Is that too long? Not good enough? Something better? Help?
So I can go to a jeweler and they can do this? About how much would it cost? Can you choose between a few scripts?
Thanks,
Warthog
PS - I've checked out Pete's Custom Knife Shop already...all I want is a normal, classic 110 with engraving
