Hi guys, I'm an engraver over here in England and have worked on quite a few stainless Spyderco's over the last couple of years. I find them great to cut and each of them being hand engraved is unique. I'm posting a few pictures as an example.

The first 2 Endura's I did can be seen at www.hunt-engraving.co.uk

hope you enjoy, Marcus

That's really nice!
How long does it take to do something like that?

...and, of course we're going to ask you this...
Can you do that on mine??

Very nice.
Peace.

How long does it take to do something like this? Well, that depends on the style and amount of scroll. The first Dragonfly shown, about 10 hours. The second one, about 6 hours and the Cricket around 8 hours.

In answer to your second question, yes I am able to take commissions but am fully booked for the next two months.

Steelarts, that is some pretty awesome work. Really top knotch.

You ever done any checkering or basket weave patterns on metal like they used to do on pistol grips and rifle and shotgun stocks?

STR

Thanks guys for your kind words.

STR, yes we engravers are called upon for chequering. It's usually on top levers of shotguns/double rifles or on the bolt handle of a bolt rifle. Normally its in quite small panels.

Hi Marcus, good to see you here! Beautiful work, as always. That Cricket looks a tad familiar. Think I'll carry the Kiwi you did for me this week.

Hi Paul, Happy new year to you. Yes, the Cricket's one of yours. How's the engraving on the Kiwi holding up by the way? Hope you don't carry it with the loose change in your pocket, lol.

Heaven forbid! Whichever one of my Kiwis I am carrying on a given day gets exclusive use of my watch pocket. :D I alternate between a few of them, but the one you engraved is one of three that get chosen most often. Engraving shows no sign of wear, and provides excellent traction when opening the knife, which is one of the reasons I like to carry it. Just did a quick check, and tomorrow will be a year to the day since it arrived here.
