Sal,

Just got a StarMate, great knife.

And I noticed little pin-pricks of light coming from the engraved portion of the front. So, I got out my 4x and gave the area a look over. And found little burrs of metal, from the the engraving process I hypothesize. Am I correct? They are only in the engraved portion, at the corners of letters and such, wherever a CNC engraver would turn.

MDP - "He who looks the closest see the most". That would be my guess. We used to use a CNC diamond engraver. We just got in and began using a CNC lazer engraver so the burrs should go away in the future.

thanx for the kind words. Hope you enjoy the knife. Lot of technology in that piece.

Sal,

Thanx for the response.

Has the story been told of all the technology in the StarMate? If so, where? If not, I would love to hear it....

Also, are there any specific plans for a Spyderco version of the fold-over clip?
