Engraving Ti?

I am looking for a few answers to some questions I have about engraving titanium. I know absolutely nothing in regards to this but am looking to have some scroll type engaving done on a folder. Most engraving I have seen is done on stainless steel, I have never seen any Ti done before. Is it possible? Do you still get the black/silver contrast as when it is done on stainless? How durable is engraving and would it be OK on an EDC style knife? Ballpark, does anyone have any idea what it would cost to have a pair of bolsters scroll engraved? Any recommendations as to whom to contact? I am not looking for a world class work of art, just to add visually to a knife that will hopefully serve me well for many years to come. Thanks.

Bruce Shaw also engraves a lot of titanium frames. He lives in Carmel, Ca and is listed in the Engravers Guild.

a fellow had a beautiful titanium Shadley peanut
completly engraved by Simon Lytton..real nice!

I agree with Tom. Bruce Shaw does great stuff on titanium.
He's in Pacific Grove, about an hour from me.
