Like many other places in the U.S.A. it has been crazy warm here lately, and that has all the flowering bushes and trees blooming.

I thought I would step outside my office and snap a few shots with the two traditional slipjoints I had in my pockets.

Perched on a fence post:

Atop some crazy sea shell that was in a bucket of shells behind the building (don't even how they got there!):

The next two show them in a blooming tree. I had to avoid a bumblebee to get these shots. I tried to capture him in a picture, but he was too busy working and would not stay in one place long enough for me to get the shot.

Hey there Doug, mate...the way you are now taking shots of your knives, framing them so well etc its amazing just how fast your skills have come up, compared to when you first asked about taking pics of knives - only a very short time ago. Just awesome!
Thank you for sharing your neat pics.

I'm moving to North Carolina where peanuts grow on trees!
Come on down, friend!

I left Indiana when I was 19, and I have now lived in the Carolinas more than 10 years longer I lived in my home Hoosier state.

Of course I still have a deep yearning to see Indiana beat Kentucky tonight in the NCAA basketball tournament. Some things just cannot be taken out of a man's constitution, no matter how long ago he lived in Indiana!

Ah spring time. :)
By the way, it looks like a nice place for stepping out side the office. Sure beats sidewalks.

Yep, one of the advantages of living in a small town in rural NC.

And Duncan your kind words are almost too much for me to receive. You are indeed a very generous soul. Thank you!
