I just picked one of these up off the forums and I'm blown away by the quality of such an inexpensive knife. I can't say how the steel will hold up to serious use, but the fit and finish are excellent. Great design and blade shape. Just an incredible deal for the price.

Has anybody had bad experiences w/ this knife? I'd be curious to hear about any.

I've got the EL02B, which is similar. Handles are G10 instead of micarta, and the blade is stonewashed instead of satin finished. I haven't really used the knife much since I got it. I did some spine whack tests to see how the lock held up (which it did fine), and I just ran it through some test cuts of various materials (paper, cardboard, plastic, rope, paracord, garden hose, etc.), and it handles those well. It hasn't seen enough EDC time for me to form a practical use opinion yet.

Best $10 I've spent on a knife. Unbeatable value and is easily comparable to $50 folders. My enlan has very minimal play for an axis lock and locks up more solid than all the axis benchmades I had, including a 940. That being said it is tougher to manipulate the axis lock on the enlan than a genuine axis lock. I easily prefer spydercos, kershaws, benchmades over the enlan but it was worth every penny and is an excellent folder with quality that far exceeds what its price tag and country of origin would suggest.

nope, so far no bad experiences. i own two of them. both are still going strong and they have seen some use. ironically i bought two as i feared one would break or fall apart as allot of posters here said they would. didn't happen, now i'm using them harder than normal to see if they will fail or break and so far they've shrugged it right off.

8cr13mov steel is decent as well, no worse than spydercos persistence/resilience, etc chinese made knives in the same steel from what i can tell using 'em.

what i'd like to see from enlan/bee/srm, etc is a traditional chinese blade shaped folder....with a non-pirated locking mechanism....now to me that would be interesting.
