Too bad that hawkbill blade shape does not come non-serrated. Looks interesting though, love to see new models.

the hawkbill blade shape with serration could be on purpose of cutting ropes or safety belts in emergent situations

I like how they have decided to put the serrations on the forward portion of the blade, that always seemed more intuitive than putting them to the rear of the blade.

I agree! I like slicing closer to the handle when possible.

Ugly as sin, but I've heard they're good knives.

I now have my EL03 courtesy of HTG, and it is an amazing knife. Someone has taken all of the best aspects of the very best "extreme utility" tactical folders and simply put them together. And done so superbly well in a seriously big knife.

I do like the serrations at the tip half of the knife, as well as the subtle hawkbill shape.

I'll echo the sentiment that some plain handle designs would make it much more appealing.

Then why are the scales black? Black isn't good inside a dark vehicle in an emergency situation. It has nothing to due with rescue.

It's for tactical rescue, obvs. Like, when you want to rescue someone, but you don't want them to see it coming.
