Im interested in picking one up as it seems to be a dang good value for the price, anyone have success or horror stories about them?

I have an 02b stonewashed and an 04mct. They are quite good. Surprisingly good grind, even bevels, really nothing to complain about for inexpensive user knives.

I just went ahead and ordered one a minute ago, $16. All black with half serrated blade. Should get here in 2 weeks from the land of all smart people.

I bought one and actually gifted it to a friend. I used it for a few days and it was a very nice little cheapo knife. Even grind and bevels and over-all nothing much to complain about.

Also got the Sanrenmu 710(or whatever the popular one is.) Now that is a pretty knife and a nice size.

and a Ganzo. The little 'traditional folder' one. I use it at work sometimes when I need to be in the office.

I own a couple enlans including the el01. Not my favorite as I find the lack of an opener other than the flipper a bit problematic if ya dont flip it open all the way. Other than a thick blade and a thick heavy knife.....which some like...its not bad for the money.

I have a couple EL-01s (tan G10 and wood). My only complaints are the proprietary pivot screw and the fact that my wood one had a cracked scale around one of the frame screws. Both easy fixes. I bought some M3 Torx screws with larger heads off the bay (RC helicopter screws, I believe). When I got them, the heads still weren't nearly as big as the factory ones, so I got some copper washers (actually made for copper rivets) from the hardware store, sanded the the washer's ODs down a bit so they'd fit in the pivot screw holes in the scales (they almost fit as is), and then replaced the pivot screws with the ones with the larger heads. The washers fit flush with the scales, so the new pivot screw heads stand proud about 1/16", but no big. They don't interfere with anything. For the cracked scale, I just popped it off, soaked some Loctite rubberized super glue into the crack, and popped in back on. So far, so good, though I think I'll stick to the G10 models if I decide to buy any more. One of the nicest things about them is that they both locked up early and haven't appeared to move at all in the several months I've had them. No play, etc. I 've thought about going ahead and forking over the $15 or whatever for the proper pivot tool from China, but I'm afraid they'll change the pivot screw just after I order it (they've already had a couple different styles). :grumpy::D

I got the three hole pivot screw tool to adjust the Enlan, and it also works with the triangular lock version, though it does scratch the screw head up a bit.

i have one el01 , solid knife for the price a little too agressive to edc for me
