I've had a few requests to make a video showing the setup of an ENO hammock, so I spent some time on a recent hike to show how easy they are to hang.

My brother gave me my first eno hammock as a gift for being a groomsman in his wedding. They are phenomenal and are even better when you buy the slap straps. They are absolutely worth the money. It takes me all of 3 or 4 minutes to setup and tear down my hammock. great for a little hiking break!

Slapstraps are quick and easy but do yourself a favor - forget those and buy tree huggers and whoopie slings instead. The slapstraps stretch under load and then unstretch only to do it all again the next time you climb in. That makes it tough to get a good hang and could cause you got get wet butt (depending on how low you hang in the first place).

Whoopie slings / tree huggers, on the other hand are much more adjustable, just as quick. lighter and stable. You'll be glad of the upgrade.

Just ordered an eno doublenest hammock from The Hammock company.com , got it in khaki/olive. free shipping & $10.00 off coupon. total $49.95. they ship Fedex & say it will be here Friday. nobody in Ga. had it in khaki & olive color. Rei only had it at the dot com store & said it would take 10 days to get here or to my nearest store. cant wait to try it out.

We have them, but our price is a tad higher than that.

I love hammocks...almost as much as knives:eek: I picked up an ENO to serve as a day-hike hammock and love it. It's compact, fast to put up and very functional. I have a mosquito bar and a Siltarp/poncho that I want to rig up for a lightweight backpacking kit.

Great video and I can personally recommend both the ENO and Going Gear:thumbup:
