Hi guys, been a lurker for a while now, then finally made an account but never posted.

Ive been on the hunt for a 8" - 10" blade recently and i was going to go with one of the regular 1095 steel choppers you see all the time such as the junglas or bk9 but i wanted to get something a little more exotic that you dont see every day in my town.

well after initially setting my price point to be about $150 max.....i did this.

have i mentioned im bad at saving money?

was about to order the bk9 since i love my bk7 but i decided well...its something i want to keep forever and i want something with a little extra flare to it.

TLDR: was gonna spend $100 - $150 on a 1095 mass produced blade, ended up with an ASH2 in tanker gray with black canvas micarta.

will be posting lots of pics when it arrives. Also its gonna be a user, i doubt the finish will look mint for long.

Hey Congrats !!!!! Nice score !!!
So on Oct 5th you will be buying your second Busse ?????????? Lol :-) cause seriously it happens that fast !!!!

Welcome and congrats again on a great knife !!

Congrats on a beautiful knife. Post some pics when you get it in.

Welcome, Congrats, you started something that is hard to quit. You're in for a wild ride my friend.

between building ar15s and my upcoming busse obsession im going to have to get a second job :o

After I discovered Busse, my gun collection diminished. I kept my Colt M4 and a Glock...more room for Busses in the safe now. Give it time....you'll see....after chopping braches, trees, street signs, your BK7 in half (not recommended), piercing coins,......and a ton of other stuff....you will own a bunch of INFI. Others will tell ya the same....run now.

When you hold a Busse for the first time, it changes your view on knives completely. You'll never look back

Congrats and welcome! I can't say anything more than what everyone else has said... it's a slippery slope that is all. Especially if you're bad at saving money :-)

Welcome. I started a few years back the same way. Now i order 3-4 blades at a time. Lol. Good luck with the ash2. Awesome blade. And that color combo is my favorite. Also good luck not spending more than you should on the next few. [emoji23][emoji106]

I like to think of it as temporarily transforming my money into steel.

I still have it, it just is less fluid and can cut stuff now.

That ASH 2 is a sweet blade. Almost regret having to sell mine, but as we say... No Regrets!

Congrats Srtr!!

You chose wisely by going with a Busse

Please bring on the user pics when you have a chance.

Congrats! I came here looking for info. I ended up buying my first 3 within 2 hrs and still have 2 of them.

Uh oh, now you've done it.

Better sell that knife and run away, or you are surely on the road to perdition.

gonna have to find a 3" to 5" smaller blade to be a companion to this one....well looks like that whole not spending any more money this month thing has already failed.

And so it begins.... welcome to the INFIction we all have caught. You may find yourself quarantined to this forum & it's more expensive sub-forum. :)

Uhh yeah...
I ordered a NMSFNO when they were offered years back and loved it and through sheer force of will, kept myself from ordering more through the years.
Then, when O2W came and all hell broke loose lol.

Round 1 and 2 grab bags. Custom shop game warden off the exchange, as well as a slew of others on order from O2W.

Ah well, at least I held out for a few years. I deeply regret however, not getting an ASHBM...
