Entrek Knives....how do they hold up?

I was just curious what the consensus was on Entrek Knives. They seem very well made overall. The steel is 440C but it seems the heat treat and cryo freeze treat make it perform better then most 440C. What is everyone's finding and thoughts on Entrek Knives? Are there any torture tests that show their toughness out there? I did a search but did not find much. Thanks for any input!

I had a couple years ago. Great knife for the price, and Ray is a good guy.

I met Ray at OKCA in 2012. I loved his knives. My wife bought me a Jag a few months later for my first Father's Day. It has to much sentimental value for me to put it through its paces!

Here's a pic of my Entrek Cobra. I carried this knife daily for a few years, including working a shipping dock. I did a lot of cutting with this knife (rope, twine, plastic packing straps, pallet wrap, etc, etc) and I used it to pry up the lids of several packing crates.

I eventually switched to a different knife, but not because there was anything wrong with the Entrek. I was always very happy with the knife. I sanded off the bead blast finish (hence the shiny blade). These days it mostly sits in a drawer. That of course is the result of having more knives than I actually need ;).

I also have the Jag. I got it used but in great shape. I thinned down the primary edge and convex it. It takes a fine edge and holds it well. I am a carbon steel guy but I have to say Ray does a great job.

I have been wanting to thin the edge on mine as well. It's not the best slicer as it comes from the shop

I have a Javalina, the steel holds up well. The handle was just to small for me. Most Entrek sheaths leave something to be desired. I ended up using a mini spec ops sheath.

Great knives. Handles are on the small side and the sheathes are crap, but the knives themselves are fantastic. I own several.
