Looks like they've been around for a while, but rarely mentioned here (and I did see the Entrek Ranger review on the review forum). They seem like no nonsense designs with your no frills 440C. Any additional feed back on these blades would be appreciated. I'm thinking of a beater I could keep in the trunk of my car and the regular Ka-Bar, Ontario Ranger, etc., offerings are a bit... usual. ;)

Thanks!

I had a Force Recon before I traded it for a BRKT Rogue.

If there's one thing I definitely dislike, it's the kydex sheath. It's really tight and it has a bit of rattle.

Entrek knives are great knives. Some people steer clear because of the 440c. My opinion is don't knock till you try it. Ray's heat treat and sub-zero stabilization is top notch. He has been making knives for close to forty years, and knows his stuff. He hand grinds all his knives. They are about as close to a custom knife, without the price, that you can get. He has all kinds, and styles for just about everyone. Go to his website at ennis-entrekusa.com and take a look. If you have any questions just shoot him and email on his site. He's a straight shooter and would be more than happy to answer you.

Ray is great to deal with had a lil problem with my 1st entrek and took care of it right away and I spoke to him directly. All I have left is a Javalina and it has been through hell and came out smiling. Even with others knives I still go back to that one eventually. The new 11 Bravo may be added soon. I recommend them easily. Shop around a bit and try for yourself

I have just recently gotten into Entrek Knives myself and couldn't be more pleased. I currently own a Force Recon and have a Merc and Commando IIB on the way.

They are very robust, well-built knives with some nicely creative designs. I do wish they had gone with perhaps 1095 but with 0.25" thick 440c you really can't go wrong. Good luck in your search!

I had a Cobra, a clip point, 4.0" bladed knife. It was excellent, and I will get another.

I still have a Cobra. I never thought that 440C could hold such an edge, until I had an Entrek. Excellent HT.
