enyone else that have a favorite chakma? :p
i do:D
i "feel" that the one that came with my grs 22" works better than the one that came with my astk 18".
i dont know if its because its more "worn in" or if it have something to do with the hardness, or maybe its just the shape and the handle that fitts me better:)
what does you think?
enny one else feel the same about one of your chakmas?
just curious:D

The horn handled one with the nice contrasting grain I got with my small Sirupati is incredibly sharp, great blade geometry and it's gorgeous. I'd say it is my favorite.

Edit-woops, favorite chakma... not karda. I like my 18.5 inch WWII's chakma the best, the shape and the handle are very functional.

As expected, the longer the kuk, the longer the chakma that comes with it, in my limited experience. My blades about 21" OAL came with the biggest and therefore most useful chakmas.

Haven't gotten any karda or chakma so far. Will be getting one here soon with a M43 coming in. Didn't know that they came in different sizes, but it does make sense.

My M-43 came with a wonderful and quite large chakma (and karda). Based on that one observation, for what it's worth, you won't be disappointed.

So far I have been pretty disappointed with the quality of the chakmas and cardas. None have been well finished and only one carda was somewhat sharp.

That being said I bought an older model Fox's Folley and its chakma and carda are larger and better finished than any paired with the new khuks I bought. So they are my favorite.

I know we all buy these rigs for the big knives (no complaints with them), but I do wish the chakmas and cardas were higher quality - I hope that the quality is not trending downward over time.

I take the time to sharpen all my kardas, they are useful tools when applied to smaller tasks. Chakmas get shredded anyway...

The karda that came with my M43 was "all personality": it had a very thick, round bevel, and was also slightly crooked. (Having said that, it still cuts.) The one with my salyan has no distinguishing features.
