Hello all.
I'm Carlos from Portugal.
Been lurking for a while, just created my account and i need you help.
All my blades are SAK's and now i want something different for EDC and some walks on the woods.
Since i'm from Europe some the knifes usually recommend are unavailable or very expensive.
For now fixed blades are out of the question due to our local laws.
So after some research i decided for these two folders.

Fallkniven PXLwh

Enzo -> $102
Fallkniven -> $144

Since i'm kind of noob on folders (steel quality, sharpening, robustness, etc..) what would be your choice?
I don't care about the missing clip on the pxlwh.
The price isn't an obstacle if the pxlwh is worth the $42 more.
I read / watched reviews and all say good things on both folders.

Thanks for your help. Now, over to the SAK section.
Best regards,
Carlos

You mentioned local laws.
How about the spyderco UK pen knife? It opens fast with one hand but doesn't lock (but still has a decent resistance) so it's legal in Germany for example as well.
Maybe even in Portugal.
What are the Portuguese knife restrictions?

Hello Carlos and welcome. I just got an Enzo PK70 last month and I was really impressed with the quality. Just a beautiful little knife. I can't help you with the fallkniven but I think you would love the Enzo. I have a MAM ( made in Portugal of course) coming this week. I've heard there great bargain knives. Best of luck. RP

Hi.
Everything with a 4" or bigger blade is against the law, unless you use it for work or hunting. For edc not possible. You can buy them without any restriction but use them is different.

For me I prefer opinel over MAM.

i second the mention of the enzo pk70. it will also be legal to carry in countries where one handed opening is illegal. the s30v is a great steel.
apart from being more expensive i dislike the konvex grind on all the fällkniven. some people like it however.
my personal edc is a uk pen knife, though i'm not sure about the blade length.

to confuse you further, how about a maserin consoli?

I have the EnZo PK70 folder in curly birch

A high quality gentleman's slipjoint knife
A very good price for such quality

Holds an edge forever
Not for hard use (neither the 75)

Steel: CPM S30 V
Grind: Scandi (Sc)

I'd take the fallkniven. Love the steel, strops well, razor sharp, great in the hand.

I have the Enzo Birk 75 in curly birch, D2, Scandi grind. One fine knife. Mine is the first version where the liners extended beyond the scales. The new version has the scales even with the liners - I think I would prefer that, but am happy with my version 1 (and can't afford another Enzo birk :-)

The Enzo Borka 90 is a great knife:thumbup:

The Scandi grind come ridiculously sharp out of the box, and it's a pretty solid little folder.
