In early July I bought a Fenix EO1 for edc use. It replaced my several year old Gerber Sonic that while not as bright as some, had proven to be reliable as a Zippo. But time moves on, and I knew there was better out there.

So for the past three months I've used the EO1 every night while giving the dog her last walk of the night, and for all kinds of things. Looking in the back of the self in the basement storage room, Looking for a dropped item in a candle lit dinning room, lots more. So far, I've been very very impressed with the reliability and usefullness of the light. Small enough to go unnoticed until needed, enough light to see around me in the woods at night and keep track of a corgi. I don't need a 100 yard retna searing super light, but the EO1 lights up 20 to 25 yards of trail so I can see where I'm going. When the hurricane Irene hit us and we lost power for a few days, the EO1 was more than enough to find our way around a dark house.

I love this little light, and I think I'll invest in a few more to put in reserve. I know theres upper models, but I don't need flashers or variable brightness, or other bells and whistles. I just want to see in the dark. I find the EO1 is like a Case peanut; may be small, but it's so useful I don't want to be without one.

Gotta love the E01. I have them on several keychains. Check out an E05 too.

I've had one on my keychain since about mid-August, joining my long time companion, the sliver trippers. I love the thing. What prompted me to get one was my wife dropping her purse underneath a restaurant table, spilling the contents and asking if I had a flashlight. I didn't, so I ordered a tiny one on Amazon. Best $11 I've spent in a while.

I still love my old Sonic but only because of the shape , it's light output is dismal. Otherwise it's always worked.

The E01 is a lovely light in that it's build is just rugged and confidence inspiring , however once I got my iTP A3 EOS in the mail (which was a few $ cheaper than the E01 ) I have been enthralled.
The iTP A3 EOS is so much a better light ! The amount of light this little thing puts out is just lovely considering it's tiny size. Get one and you will see what I mean. Trust me my Fenix is not going unloved but it is now on backup duty.

edit ! my mistake , the E05 is 27 lumens and not 10 like my silly brain thought.... doh !!
