I just bought Dragonfly and Native - awseme knives. But I like to submit EOU request (Easy Of Use) on handle design to Spyderco - if I may. I think it will be much handy if second half of hanle's bottom will be belly instead of what it is now. I did some knifemaking experiments myself focusing on handles and come to conclusion that handle should fill up palm for better grip. So in current Native design there is the gap between closed third, fourth and fifth fingers. If just add few bits of plastic ther - it will fill even more comfortable.
Thanks, Vassili

Hi Vassili. Thanx for your suggestion. Handle ergonomics is a always a compromise between different hands. Check out the Native III.

Hi Sal,

I really like you knives - they have your own style. This wide triangular blades with big hole - like Picasso bird sleeping with its hand under wing when it closed and awake od watching you when it opend.

You did a great job on blade. On my opinion Native handle does not developed with the same attention. They are good but not great as blades.

For havy use I thing scandinavian handles better - just because they are thick and does fill up your palm very well. It is not scandinavian only of course - there are knives like this, KaBar makes good handles for 1217 and similar. Only one folder I know has such a good handle, with perfect grip - Buck 110. It is wery thick and havy, they use a lot of brass there. When you hold it - your hand almost demands it to buy, or else.

I think Native will be much better and more appliable for havy use (as it looks for) with thicker and belly handle.

Just discovered thread "native vs native". How thicker Native III handle is?

Thanks, Vassili.
