What experience did you have with CG's?? Rust?

Yes and I read all the threads about how to deal with it and I just think its not worth it. I would rather pay up for a finished blade. I do appreciate the option to purchase an unfinished blade to save some bucks, but had I known that the rusting was going to be a likely issue I would not have availed myself of this option. But, its all personal preference and some people won't mind this. It chafes me a little. I'll get over it.

It's funny, I've read a ton of posts about the rusting on the CF blades, but I honestly haven't had a problem with it. I put a quick, light wipe of Tuf-glide on my Jackhammer when I first got it, and I've had zero rusting. I live in Atlanta, where it's crazy humid, and I've been keeping my Jackhammer in the bathroom, where it gets extra humid from the shower, to see if I could get it to rust, and still no problem. Still looks brand new. I haven't had a chance to do much more than deanimate a few cardboard boxes with it, though.

It's not that I don't believe guys when they say their knives are rusting, but it's really not that hard to keep any Infi blade from corroding. A little oil every once in a while and you should have no problems. Just my $.02.

The Comp grades are meant to be ugly, so, think of the surface oxidation as a free bonus cosmetic "uglifier" or a self-sustaining, regenerating, desert camo pattern that begs to be beaten!:D . . . . . I like free stuff!!

Actually that is a thought! thanks... kind of defeats the purpose, can just sell them at jacked-up pprices on that auction site and buy a regular HR from a member here. :D
