So yesterday I had the most EPIC mail call I have ever had and Ive had some pretty great ones over the years! It lead me to the idea for this thread. I would love to hear about / see your most epic mail call of your knife collection journey.

Ill start.

In yesterdays mail I received 3 amazing and discontinued/rare/hard to find CRK knives. Each one more special than the other and two of the three are exactly the pieces I needed to fill spots in my collection.

LNIB Sebenza 21 Carbon Fiber. Knife is so very close to mint having never been carried or used. Wasn't planning on buying one of these but I am a sucker for the 21 Insingo and the price was just too good to pass up! Goes with my PJ and Micarta to complete the 21 Insingo TriFecta! To be fair I didn’t open this one until this morning as I forgot it at work where it was delivered.

LNIB Wilson Combat Inkosi. The perfect Non-Sebenza to go with my OP Zaan that turns my Sebenza collection into a CRK collection

1993 P Sebenza! Not only is this knife amazing on its own but came complete with the entire package and the catalog from that year. It is the corner stone of my Sebenza Evolution Collection. Its also the most expensive knife I have / will ever buy ( unless I stumble upon an H).

So there’s mine, lets hear about and or see it if you still have the pics.

I have a rule where I only buy knives I will use, and don't buy another for at least a couple of months. This usually lands me in the two maximum three knives per year cap, while still giving me time to enjoy carrying and using each and every one of them.

While it doesn't exactly fall into the same category as this thread, as they arrived a week apart, it still does in my head.

Only reason this happened was because Microtech Socoms are extremely hard to find at dealers in the EU, and whenever they are in stock they disappear in minutes.

My most epic mail call was on a Christmas Eve several years ago. I was awaiting a custom knife from my good friend, Ken Erickson, which was supposed to be delivered that day. As the afternoon grew later, I called the local P.O. and spoke with one of the employees who told me that the truck was running late due to snow and conditions, and the package had not yet arrived and scanned in. He told me to check back later on.

The hour came and went for the post office to still be open, let alone the knife to be delivered and I reconciled myself to the fact that I wouldn't be getting it in time for Christmas.

Shortly after the P.O. was closed, I got a call from the gentleman I had spoken with who said the truck had come in after hours and he found my package. He said he would wait for me to come and pick it up. I couldn't thank him enough and I rushed out the door to drive the few miles to the P.O.
I've never forgotten his kindness in staying behind on Christmas Eve when he could have headed home to his family and friends.

This was the first of several Christmas knives from Ken which would become a tradition of sorts thereafter.

Thank you for sharing that E. What a great story. Our world needs more of that!

There is no doubt that’s an EPIC MAIL CALL!!!

Good lord, that's a pile of treasure. Which K20 is the user?
Truth be told, I'm still trying to decide that😆 Most of my user CPKs have grey TT on them but the grey does dull and hold dirt a bit after a lot of use. I'm not sure how that bright green would look after a lot of use and handling.

but the grey does dull and hold dirt a bit

I have it on a DEK1, I've noticed that a bit.

Still bummed I got distracted on K20-Day and missed the sale. My consolation is waiting on the Shiv...
