Hey guys, I have been using 2 part epoxy for my knife handles, and I really hate the stuff. I have two different brands, and on both of them only one will come out easily. The other part must be squeezed with everything I have to get a little drizzle out on both different brand tubes. Is there anything else I can use that isn't two part and such a pain to work with? I was recommended liquid nails, but then I saw a forum on here that someone said it wouldn't be good for such an application. Maybe the gorilla super glue with rubber in it? Something one part, that is just as strong would be nice. I just have trouble with this two part epoxy.

I don't know what the average temps outside are in your area right now, but over here in Washington this is about the time of year that epoxy begins to flow slower and thicker. I tend to keep them indoors and even glue up indoors during the colder part of the year.

That might be the problem. I keep mine indoors as well. Probably around 71 degrees. Would warming it up a little help>?

Yes it will
Warm it before you squize the epoxy out of tubes. That way it will be nice and liquid like. It mixes better that way.
Cold epoxy won't cure(well) The warmer the better.

Try LocTite Speedbonder if you really hate it.I seldom use 2 part epoxy anymore.

I microwaved my epoxy for say 10 seconds... dont do it, it killed it. Maybe put it in warm water for a bit. Each component separate not combined.

When I work in cooler temps I wear a shirt that has two pockets and I keep one bottle in each pocket to warm with body temperature and it works great.
