i use ACRA-WELD from brownells.

You can dye it, and add fillers like atomized aluminum and steel. It's pretty thick, so it fills well, and man - it holds. The info is as follows:

081-025-002 Acra-weld Page 217 $11.63
081-021-004 Atomized Alum Page 217 $5.73
081-021-104 Atomized Steel Page 217 $5.64
083-009-004 Epoxy black pigmant Page 218 $4.32

Prices are retail.

The airplane stuff is great, too. Lots of choices there, but I like Acra-weld.

(I had stated I used Acra-glass in another thread. Although I have used it in the past, I now use Acra-weld exclusively. My mistake)

"Are you ready for the defendant, Judge?"
"Yup. Bring the guilty bastard in."

The aircraft industry has used Dexter Hysol epoxees for decades. Back when I was making radio telescopes and strength tested epoxees it was the best stuff I could find. You can find them at:

http://www.hysol.com/

I used to use an adhesives distributor called E.V. Roberts in California to get the stuff.

Randy,
I swear by the Loctite adhesives! Removing micarta, G10 and stag test pieces was alomost impossible! The primer will kill you though!

J/B Weld works very well for me,it has a 24 hour cure, dries grey and is very strong i use it exclusively after some bad experiences with epoxy.
I worked in a race shop and just for fun we J/B welded 2 chevy exhaust valves face to face, the next day we clamped one stem in a vise and put a bar over the other and tryed to break them apart. All we ended up doin is bending the valves!!
+ J/B is fairly cheap ,we`ve had nothing but good reports abot the stuff

Every thing you ever wanted to know about epoxy, www.westsystem.com
Also tap plastics makes a marine grade epoxy, that with the medium hardner, is perfectly clear. West systems makes also all the additives, high density filler, micro fibers, micro ballons, graphite, aluminum etc. The trick with both of these products is they offer slow , medium, and fast hardners, as well as a pump system for a perfect mix depending on the weather.
West systems offers a manual for a fee, and a free how to guide about every quarter. You may also tint your epoxy, with polyester tint, for the desired effect after you get the consistancy you require. Also is cooler weather, a preheat of the metal under a wrap, with a heat gun, will help the metal and wrap obtain a better bond beause of the temps being closer.
