equal end whittlers?

Dijos, are you looking for one to use, or to collect?
Schatt&Morgan made some, 3 5/8" approx. and there are some big Case Classics, and some huge Bulldogs. I have a few, so let me know what you want to see.

I'm hardly an expert, but that looks more like a Stockman pattern to me. Isn't that lone blade on the end a leather punch, like on the Harness Jack?

I agree, it's a punch blade stockman, and the handle shape looks serpentine as opposed to equal end.

What can I say? The tiny chip in the main blade is so distracting, the seller didn't realize that it is a punchblade stockman. :D

Whittlers were the first knives I collected, and I've still got a number of them around. Here are some Equal Enders; all are near-mint (I almost never use the M word) except the top IXL which is a worn old jalopy, and the bottom C.Platts&Sons which is carefully sharpened and will shave a grizzly bear! I wouldn't recommend that activity, though!

Actually, the bottom two are sleeveboards, but so what :o !

Those are beauties, Waynorth! I don't know what I admire more, your knives or your photography.

Waynorth,

What is the second knife from the bottom? I love the etching on that one...

Several years ago, the infamous Jim Parker used a bunch of old cutlery brands on a line of German made knives. I liked this one because Lackawanna is a suburb of Buffalo, N.Y, where I grew up; and because it's so BIG-4 1/2" long!
